When describing this unique home, Jeremy Fischer concedes, “This house is more like a sculpture that a building. It is the most unique design in the Highlands.” High atop a hill overlooking the golf course, this is one of the most exclusive lots in the Highlands' subdivision, boasting the best views and the best lighting in the neighborhood. Riddled with obstacles, this lot was considered unbuildable. Creative and resourceful design by the architects and close collaboration with Ivan Stanley Fine Home Builders generated this stunning, custom home sculpture. Intricate angles and carefully selected building materials maximize the 3500 s.f. footprint; the finished product yields over 8000 s.f. of home space. This home is truly a trendsetter in the popular Mountain Modern genre as it was designed and built before Mountain Modern was yet considered a genre.
The homeowners specifically wanted a home of stone and glass for low maintenance and to fuse the outdoors with the indoors. Vintage Woods and Metals provided beautiful wood and custom copper exterior siding. Exterior steel railings, powder coated in dark bronze, are another detail connecting the home with the environment by mimicking the textures and colors found in mountain settings.
