Our mountain spirit means Ivan Stanley Fine Home Builders is always up for an adventure. Jeremy Fischer was inspired to construct a commercial restaurant in the heart of the Breckenridge Historic District. Utilizing the creative design skills of Janet Sutterley jlsutterleyarchitect.com, local architect specializing in historic design, Jeremy embarked on this new venture. Crews began digging and preparing the site for construction in the fall of 2016. During the construction process, Jeremy began searching for the perfect restaurateur to run the completed space. Along came Phillips Armstrong, owner of Aurum Steamboat. Phillips interest in running a restaurant in Summit County, paired with his experience, made this a perfect fit.
Aurum Food and Wine aurumbreckenridge.com has made its home in a Victorian style building located in the Breckenridge Historic District. With white walls and large windows, we were able to take advantage of the natural light that effortlessly flows into the space, allowing the classic Victorian building to shine with gold and copper details including wall installations and lighting fixtures. We showcase natural wood elements throughout, high vaulted timber beams, and exposed copper piping to match the unique copper detail on the exterior of the Victorian building.
Staying true to the historic district, our in-house designer Karen Fischer thoughtfully selected artwork from the Sandra Mather Archives, Carl Scofield, and the Rockne Family Collection.
We are excited to be able to share this restaurant project with our community. Stop by, meet your neighbors, and have a drink at the farm-house inspired bar and tell us what you think of our newest project! aurumbreckenridge.com
